Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T displays the picture of the map. T: WHAT IS IT?(A MAP) WHAT DO YOU SEE IN THE MAP?(COUNTRIES) WHAT IS THE NAME OF THIS COUNTRY? WHICH COUNTRIES ARE NEIGBOURS TO TURKEY?

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

T writes on the board "country(n)" and "COUNTRY" T: WHAT DO WE CALL PEOPLE FROM TURKEY, GERMANY, ENGLAND?(Turkish, Germ) WHAT DO YOU CALL TURKISH, GERMAN AND ENGLISH? (Nationality) T writes on the board "nationality(n) and "NATIONALITY". T: WHAT ARE ISTANBUL, MILAN, HAMBURG, NEWYORK?(City) T writes on the board "city(n)" T: WHAT IS ANKARA, BERLIN, LONDON, PARIS?(Capital city) T writes on the board "capital city(n)".
