Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

The T starts of the lesson by asking the S T: "How many brothers have you got?" T: "How many sisters have you got?"

Pre-Reading/Listening (10-12 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

The T gives the S ex.1 T: "Look at the family tree. Then read about the family. Fill in the gaps with the words in the boxes." FB = Listen and check

Introducing the schwa (5-10 minutes) • To clarify the schwa

1- The T gives the S ex.2 T: "The schwa is very common in English. Listen to these words. Is the schwa stressed?" The T moves to ex.3 T: "Listen to these words. Where are the schwas?" FB = S-T

Controlled practice (4-8 minutes) • To practice the student about what he learned

The T gives the S ex.4 T: "Tick the correct sentences. Change the words in bold in the incorrect sentences." FB = S-T

Possessive 's Clarification (4-8 minutes) • To clarify the target language
