My Birthday
Beginner level

Description

In this lesson students will understand and act out a picture strip story and revise the vocabulary they learnt in the previous class such as "birthday card" and "cake". Firstly, the characters in the story are intorduced to the students. Next, the students draw a picture of themselves and write their names on a piece of paper. This is followed by a pre-reading activity where the students are exposed to the new words in the story. During the story, they listen to the text and repeat the sentences they hear. Finally there is some controlled practice through a role play activity and semi-controlled practice via a final drawing activity.
