Procedure

Lead-in (5-8 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Introduce the listening task to SS. Give the gist task before playing the track: Why does Mahy call Ahmed? Play and let them answer. Give them HO and let them number the activities and connect the shape together.

Highlighting (5-8 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

Highlight the form of إنت بتعمل ايه كل يوم؟ أنا باصحى and so on. ask SS about their daily routine

Semi-Controlled Practice (6-8 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

Set the clock game Students stand in a circle at different clock numbers. Demo with the students. Give instructions: When you hear music, you move. When it stops, you stop. Then, ask the student on your right: What do you do at 4 every day? Beteعmel eh essaعa arbaعa koll youm? Get the answer, then answer the one before you when s/he asks you. Take another round with music. Repeat the question. Give delayed error correction in an encouraging feedback. Encourage peer correction. Say the mistakes and wait for them to correct them.

Free Practice (14-15 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

Give SS 5 minutes to prepare the answers to these questions. When do you wake up? When do you have breakfast? When do you go to work? When do you return home? What do you do till you sleep? Each student should ask three different students. ICQs: Will you write anything? No How many people will you speak to? 3 Will you speak in English or in Arabic? In Arabic Give open class feedback on content and on language.
