The meeting, Present Continuous tense
Elementary level

In this lesson, students learn about present continuous tense ( positive and negative forms) through guided discovery based on text presentation: using listening as a basis for grammar in context. The lesson starts with a listening task about Frank, Janet and liz. This is where students listen and do one controlled listening activity to set context for the lesson and establish the meaning. Then, I will guide students through language analysis exercise to discover the form of the tense. After that, students will do another listening task to highlight the sentences' stress. By the end, they will practice a board game a free practice activity.
