Ahmed S. Eltantawy, Teaching listening and lexis
Intermediate level

Description

The lesson starts by showing the learners a short video about some famous sites in Thailand and asking them to tell me the name of this country. Then I ask the learners if they know anything about the food or the social customs there. Next I ask the learners to read the extract from a travel guide to Thailand giving tips on social customs and ask them if they guess which alternative is correct for any of the tips. Finally I ask the learners to listen to the conversation between Nikam Nipotam and his colleague about the social customs in Thailand then say what things are the same and what things are different from our culture.
