To provide the students with new vocabulary words and teach them.
To practice speaking using the new vocabulary words.
Procedure (36-51 minutes)
T shows images of strange phenomenon's and tells the Ss to discuss in pairs about the pictures T later tries to elicit from the students what they are.
T gives the HO in two different colours to the Ss and asks them to work individually and look at the answer of the words they know and write them down. T asks CCQ's. Once they finish, T tells them to get into groups of the colour they have and stand in two lines and check with their friends if they know the answers the Ss doesn't know. T later tells the Ss to write the words which they could not define as a group on the WB.
T will teach the unknown vocabulary words and clarify them to the Ss. T will do coral drilling.
After clarifying the meaning of the unknown words, T will give the Ss the HO and tell them to match the words and phrases with the situations. This activity will help the T make sure the Ss have understood the meaning of the new vocabulary words. later the Ss will pair check and WCFB will be done.
