Procedure (44 minutes)
T introduces himself T writes the title " parents and teenagers" on the white board, elicit what the words means and asks the Ss to discuss their relationship. this can be done by showing the Ss a picture of parents and teenagers and asking them to discuss what they can see. Ss work in pairs.
T provides the students with the pictures in activity 3a student's book page 28. Instruction: what do you think the people are arguing about. Ss work in pairs ( Are you working alone or in pairs?) Listen and check. feedback ( answer key) T provides Ss with activity 3b pg.29. Ss listen and work in pairs to fill in the gaps then they check their answers with another pair. WCFD
T writes the first two dialogues in Dialogue1 3b and asks Ss whether the 2 questions are about: a) a specific time in the past b) a non specific time ( sometime between the past and now) Feedback (how do you know ?) Students unerline the sentences with, Just, yet, and already. T asks Ss what do they mean? T draw a timeline on the whiteboad and asks the students to mention when the action happens T provides the Ss with an uncomplete rule and and asks them finish it. Form : T writes 3 sentences on the board and asks the students which one is positive, negative and question? T highlights the stress and uses back chaining.
Ss listen to track 2.18 and mak the + sentences negative and the - sentences +positive Feedback T provides Ss with task 4a and 4b Ss book pg .133 Students work in groups of 3 to complete the activity Feedback ( answer key)
Ss work in groups to ask each other about their housework activities using the present perfect.
