  • To provide inference reading practice using a text about traditional foods in the context of food

Procedure

stage 1 (3-5 minutes) • warm up

greeting

stage 2 (10-12 minutes) • review of last session

the teacher asks students to open unit 11 task D. they check their answers in their groups. then the teacher asks them to read aloud and explains each correct answer.

stage 3 (4-6 minutes) • review of last session

the teacher asks students to open unit 12 task E. they check their drawings in their groups.

stage 4 (10-15 minutes) • getting familiar with new words

the teacher plays a video about a house. then shows the pictures of new words and drills it.

stage 5 (8-10 minutes) • teach how to explain a picture

teacher asks students to look at task A's picture for 1 minute. then they speak in their groups for 2 minutes. the teacher asks the highlighted questions from the guide book. then the teacher explains the word '' differences and similarities'' with some drawings on the board.the teacher asks students to look at task B's picture and speak about differences and similarities
