In this lesson. The student will practice (through Skype) giving and receiving personal details; asking people to repeat things. This lesson will focus on developing listening receptive skills. After this lesson, the student will be able to say the numbers 20-100 say the age and differentiate between -teen and -ty

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

The T start off the lesson by showing the Ss a picture of Id cards sample. (working in pairs) T: "What do you see?" T: "What is this?" T: "Can you tell me what kind of information we put on an id card?"

Pre-Reading/Listening (4-8 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

The T give the Ss exercise 1. T: "Do you know how do we say these numbers?" FB: Listen and check. Then the T moves to the next exercise (Ex.2) T: "Can you say these numbers?"

While-Reading/Listening #1 (10-12 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

The T gives the Ss the next exercise (Ex.3 [a]) T: "Listen to these numbers and notice the stress." (After finishing this ex) The T clarify the difference between the numbers (-teen and ty) (After clarifying) The T moves to ex.3[b] T: "Where is the stress in these numbers?" FB: Listen and check.

Brainstorming (8-16 minutes) • practice and clarify vocabulary

The T shows the Ss a photo and ask them T: "Where do you think these people are?" The T tries to elicit car hire office from the Ss. The T moves to Ex.5 T: "Look at the photos. match these words to Molly's things 1-4." (After finishing) The T gives the Ss Ex,5[b] (Working in pairs) T: "Answer these questions about Molly." FB: S-T

Practice #1 (4-8 minutes) • To practice vocabulary

The T moves to the next exercise (Ex.6) T: "Match these words in the letters a)-j) in the pictures." FB: S-S-T

Practice #2 (4-10 minutes) • To provide student with a challenging specific information listening tasks

The T gives Ss Ex.8 T: "Listen to David's conversation and fill in the gaps on the form." FB: S-T

While-Reading/Listening #2 (6-14 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

The T moves to the next exercise(Ex.7) T: "Listen to these sentences and notice the stress." The T moves to the next exercise(Ex.9) T: "You will now listen to the sentences from the conversation in the previous exercise. Fill in the gaps with the words in the box." FB: AK

Post-Reading/Listening (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

The T gives the Ss exercise 10 T: "You will now interview your partner and fill in the form." FB: S-T
