Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (2-6 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

On the board, I'm going to draw a picture of me and start to speak about my daily routine activities to elicit some verbs : In the morning : I get up early at 6:30. I have breakfast at 7:00. I leave home at 8:00 or 8:15 . -Open a discussion short with students about 'what they do every day or what some of their habits are'.

Exposure (4-6 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

-To get exposed to the target language, I'm going to hand out the ex.2 (p.42) and ask students individually to check the photos and fill in the gaps with the right times(2 minutes). Then students to check in pairs for a minute and one by one to put the answer on the board. -For feedback, we will listen to the record(T6.5) and check the answers.

Highlighting (2-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

To start to highlight the target language, I'll write down three sentences on board : He sometimes buys a pizza. He never goes out in the evening. He always goes to bed at 11.45. Then will ask students what sometimes means here, Is it every day or not? . and ask what is different about it.Or why we have the 's added'. -Ask students, in 2 minutes, to use them and change 'He' with 'I'. Then to talk with their partners. After that will check understanding by asking them to go on board and write a sentence about their partner.

Clarification (6-12 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

To clarify meaning, I'm going to use CCQ on a sentence about Eliot's daily routine. ex; He never goes out in the evening. To clarify form:, I'm going to use the marker sentence : Postive : Subject + verb(s) + object .Ex; He never goes out in the evening. Negative : Subject + verb(s) don't/doesn't+ object. Question: Do/Does+Subj.+...?.Does he go out in the evening?. -Using connected speech, I'll show them the linking on the board and let them repeat. -On the board, i'll demonstrate a table and students to fill it in 2 groups. The task should take 2 minutes and the first team to finish will be the winner ex7 p43.

Controlled Practice (5-8 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

-For concept checking, Students will answer ex.4 p.43 individually. Then I will play the recording T6.9 (CD1:Trac84) to get the feedback. Then to set a game about it. In 4 minutes, each group will be given the questions, the answers will be stuck on the board .each group, will have their own board and they have quickly to stick match the right answers with their questions. The one finishes first will be the winning group.

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

-I'm going to personalize ex.5 and set up a Free oral and written practice: Students will be divided into 6 pairs, each pair will have a certain color. Then each pair will handle a question and answer it.Then people with the same color will move and group with each other and start to ask their questions to each other and answer it ex.5 p43.To provide a feedback, students of each pair again to write their questions and answer on the board and the one will do it quickly and correct will be the winning pair. -the exercise will be shown on board.
