Description

in this lesson, students are going to talk about their life to generate interest I will talk about my life and let students talk about their lives in pairs.Then I prepare for speaking. I provide the learner with a model of the task.I clarify language which learners find useful for completing the speaking task. I ask ss to write 5 questions to ask a partner. I will demonstrate first. SS will listen and take notes after that they will listen again to answer the questions.ss speak about their own lives. I give feedback

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I show the students some pictures of me and I talk about them. I am Egyptian. I was born Cairo.I lived with my parents. My father was a worker. My mother was a housewife. I went to the university when I was 18. I studied education. I studied for four years. I ....... I generate the interest.

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

SS are going to listen to the conversation. They will answer the gist question. (Are they talking about Alisa's life or her family?) . While they are listening, they take notes. Then SS will listen again to answer the question (What did Alisa say?)

Useful Language (8-10 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

I will write some questions on the board and explain the pronunciation like: Did you enjoy it. What did you study? What did your mother do?

Productive Task(s) (18-20 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

SS will be asked to write some questions to ask each other. Then 'speed-chat ' SS will sit in pairs face to face.I will demonstrate first.

Feedback and Error Correction (8-10 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

SS in groups will discuss their own lives and then write what they have discussed and read them to each other.
