Procedure

Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T sticks the pictures of her family members on WB and introduce them to the Ss. T sticks a picture of a girl's family to use possessive "-s". "Who is Rosa's mother?" T-S feedback.(elicit some ideas).

Pre-Listening (10-12 minutes) • To prepare students for the recording and make it accessible

T asks CCQs to Ss to prepare them for the listening part. T4.2 " Are you married?" "Where's your house?" "What's your job?" T reflect the HO on the board and gives instructions. " You are going to listen to a recording." "There are 6 questions and 6 answers." " You have 5 minutes?" ICQs: " How many questions? 6" " How many answers? 6" " How much time?" 5 min. Ss listen to 4.3 and repeat the words.

While-Listening #1 (10-12 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information listening tasks

T gives the instructions. (T 4.3) (T 4.4) "Please listen and repeat the words." " Listen to the recording and fill the gaps. There are 10 gaps.You have 5 minutes." ICQs: "How many gaps? 10" "How much time? 5 min."

While-Listening #2 (14-16 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

T gives instructions. " Please fil the gaps using the words in the box. There are 10 gaps and you have 2 minutes." ICQs: -How many gaps? 10 -How many words? 10

Post-Listening (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

T chests the HO and gives instructions for T4.5. "Listen to five people. Who are they?" T hands out the material to reinforce the vocabulary. " There are 10 gaps to fill. You have 3 minutes." ICQs : How many gaps? 10 How much time? 3 min.
