To provide Ss with practice of vocabulary for clothes and on what certain situations we wear them.
To provide clarification and practice
To provide Ss with practice of speaking for fluency in the context of what we wear on different situations.
Procedure (38-53 minutes)
To activate Ss existing knowledge of the topic. To get Ss interested in the topic of the lesson.
T will ask Ss to look at the picture to match the items of clothing and the words.p.6, EX 1 a Ss check in pairs WCF
T tells Ss to go to p.l5l, and look at the pictures and the words. Make sure Ss know what these words mean and how to pronounce them. Then, get Ss to do ex a in pairs. Feedback : Give Ss an answer key , and have them check. In small groups, they will categorise the vocabulary for themselves into (clothes, footwear, accessories, and Jewellery) WCF
Check students' use of the target language by asking some questions starting with : Can you think of ………… ?
Elicit from the class how to say the questions on SsBk p 8, pronunciation ex 2e. Get Sts to ask T the questions. Then in pairs, Sts ask and answer the questions. Get some feedback from various pairs.
