Procedure (38-48 minutes)
T will show a picture of a baby through the projector, and ask them questions. "What name would you give this baby?", "What names do you like for a boy/girl?", "How did your parents choose your name?"
T will write the names above the text in the book on the board, and ask if they know them all. If there are unknown ones, T will show the photos of them to introduce. Then, T will ask what those famous people have in common. Sts will discuss in pairs.
T will give sts a HO of the reading text. Sts will check their predictions in the text and discuss them with their partner.
T will hands out a list of reasons for choosing a name. Sts will scan the text to find out whether they are mentioned in the text or not. They will check their answers with their partners. Sts will work in pairs. They will discuss more reasons for choosing a name.
T will give a HO of vocabulary exercise. Sts will find the words to complete the sentences through scanning the text. Then, they will check their answers with their partners.
Sts will discuss if any of the sentences in vocabulary exercise are true for them with their partners. The ideas will be checked in the class together.
