Description

In this lesson the students will learn about how to form a sentence in future time. They will start this lesson with warm up activity through some questions, then they will write down some sentences as much as they know about future.After that they will listen to audio for some students who talk about their future using different ways to express the future time. Then students will move to controlled practice and answer some exercises. Finally they will do a freer practice activity by using a group discussion and share their plans about the future.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead in (3-5 minutes) • Active schemata

In a group discussion the students will discuss some simple questions in which related to the topic. Students talk with each other and answer questions about future forms Ss work together. Monitor assist when needed. Teacher get feed back from students

Listening (4-7 minutes) • To provide listening for specific information about future forms

Set listening Ex,2. Ss listen and note down information about different future forms used in that audio. Ss listen to 6 conversations.Teacher pauses after each conversation to give students time to answer. Ss peer check answers then teacher get the feedback. Teacher check if there were any problems with answers and play the track again if needed. Ss listen again and note down how many ways did they use future forms during the conversation. Ss peer check . Teacher gets FBk

Language Focus (7-10 minutes) • To provide clarification on meaning,form and pronunciation of the TL in the context of future forms

Step 1: Elicit from Ss answers, what were the forms people made in the previous conversations. T Write these forms on the board. Ask students to work together and decided which of them are commonly used. Teacher start to explain these forms in detailed and provide students with new information and also support his presentation with suitable examples to ensure that the students are able to understand these forms correctly. Step 2: T asks the students if there is something they could't understand it teacher asks students to work in pairs and form at least 3 sentences using the forms on the board, then students check in pairs , finally teacher get the feedback from the students and check if there were any problems.

Practice (4-6 minutes) • To provide practice and concept check of the TL and prepare Ss for freer activity

Ss write down some sentences using words in exercise no.1, then work with partner. Ss peer check, Teacher gets FBK from Ss and clarify any problems. Ss work with another partner and discuss their future plans. Teacher monitors and record any errors to deal with them later.

Free practice (4-6 minutes) • To provide fluency and accuracy speaking of the TL about future forms

Tell the students to get a list of plans they would like to do in the future. take turns and share their own plans by using different kinds of future forms. Teacher monitors and records any errors to deal with them later.
