Description

In this lesson, students will learn about can, can`t, have to, don`t have to through guessing and then knowing about a girl`s dream and aim based on listening to her being interviewed. this is going to be followed by a grammar exercise on can, cannot, have to and don't have to. after this ex, i will focus on the students` weaknesses. i will also give many examples on the areas they don`t understand easily.then i will work on their pronunciation and stress. last but not least, i will let them have their free practice.

  • To provide inference and specific information listening practice using a text about at rest, at work in the context of goals and aims

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

first, i will introduce myself to them and know more about them, so that they get to feel comfortable with me. i will use the data show showing them some pictures related to the topic to let them be more acquainted with the lesson and its topic.

activity1 (2-4 minutes) • To let the students be more cooperative.and to let them recall their previous knowledge on the topic

they will ;look to the pictures page 27 and think of what mabe mayo`s study.then they will listen to the record and check their guesses in pairs.

activity2, (5-7 minutes) • To clarify some pieces of information concerning the lesson.

through listening to record 2, and then mark true or false.and finally pair check.

ACTIVITY3. (8-12 minutes) • Check students' use of the target language and then letting them check in pairs and then have their feedback.

the last activity where they solve ex1 and 2, then check together then with me. after that i can know their weaknesses and work on them. THEN I WILL LET THEM KNOW THE CORRECT PRONUNCIATION.

Free practice (2-5 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

THROUGH LETTING THEM SPEAK AND TALK ABOUT THEIR DREAMS AND WHETHER they are related to their abilities or not.
