New lesson plan: Listening lesson

In this lesson students will learn about gist listening and how to improve their listening skills

To provide gist,specific information and detailed listening practice using a text about youth dreams

Warmer (2-3 minutes) • creat a friendly relationship with the learners

interring classroom with a smile greeting the learners

Exposure (3-5 minutes) • To set context for the target language through a disscussion

I will ask them to tell me about their dreams and jobs that they dream about it

Gist listening (2-5 minutes) • learn them how to listen for finding a general information

Telling them to listen to the track for finding character's interests

focus on language (2-4 minutes) • To clarify the meaning of the new vocabulary

Giving them a matching task, ask them to match the words or sentences with its defenetions or its pictures

Controlled Practice (4-6 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

I will ask them to solve the next activity alone And after that discusse the answers with his partner

Free Practice (5-8 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

ask them to solve the last activity and discuss it with their partners then as a whole class
