Procedure (11-21 minutes)
- Write on the board Sleep /Work /Hobby/ Travel - Put the SS in groups - Handout questions to the SS 1-What is you favorite hobby? 2-Do you sleep well at night? 3-Where do you work? 4-What do you do on your vacations? To elicit the topic of the class T Randomly asks the groups about the things written on the board how much time do you spend on these things? - T writes down the answers
-T gives a handout to the SS having texts taken from the CB. 1.I am planning to go to a catering college in Aberdeen and train to become a chef. 2.I don't always want to work on an oil platform. 3.After 11 months of hard work, I always take my time off for a month. CCQs to check SS understanding. 1. Catering ( check pronunciation/drilling ) Is it a Job? Yes. Is it about Furniture or food? Food. 2. Platform Do people work there? Yes. Is it a small work area? - Group A will have Pete's material and Group B will have Dagmara's Material - T gives the SS a handout for the CB text unfolded and another handout with questions: 1- what kind of work they do? 2- what they do in their free time ? - Let them listen to the audio track form the CB - T using ICQs Are we speaking? Yes. - discuss their answers - ask the to unfold the text handout and give them a minute to skim the texts quickly and check their prediction - T checking the answers through monitoring quickly

Once a week? 3. On the bus? 4. In the evening? Let SS do exercise () while scanning the text to check their answers. Then with monitoring T will check their answers
