The T talk about days of the week and elicit them from students: * Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday T writes the words on the WB and notice about "week days" and "week end". T asks: * What do you do in week days? While-Reading/Listening #1 (10-12 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

First let's practice skimming/ listening for gist. The T ask students to listen track 2.16 and answer a question: *Are they talking about weekdays or weekend? (weekend) But let them listen first Connie and answer about Connie. Then move to the Andre and ask about Andre, then to Olga. Always ask: * Why do you think it's about weekend?

Then practice listening for detailed information. The T gives students HO (2) and they have to listen track 2.16 one more time and fill the gaps. If necessary they can listen two times, or even more. Then T ask them check their answers in small groups.

Post-Reading/Listening (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

The T writes what they have been learnt today on the WB; * What do you do in week days? * What do you do in weekend? * Do you ________ in your weekend? T set up small groups, students discuss about these questions. After 5-8 min T nominate one student from each group to talk.
