To provide fluency and accuracy speaking practice in a Conversation in the context of Conversation
Procedure (31-51 minutes)
SS will speak about a time that they had to say sorry and the reason for saying for saying "sorry". The word "sorry" will come up in the next task that they engage in.
In this task T will hand out six sheets of paper with a word on each. SS will then do GW and discuss which word they think would be best suited for which word on the board. T will ask SS to place the word on the WB.
SS will listen to a recording and repeat the words. T will ask SS were they think the stress can be for the words sorry, couldn't, finish and yesterday
T will hand out a dialogue and ask to read individually. T will also tell them that they will do a role play with the dialogue.
T will hour out a sheet that SS will need to fill out the blanks. SS will first work as individual and the do PW GW and compare answers.
T will hand out three images. T will also play recording and ask SS to do GW and to put images in order according to the recording.
T will then hand out a sheet with some of the dialogue from the recording. SS will do GW to see who said which line
