Procedure (32-47 minutes)
Teacher gives list of words and asks them to divide in to 3 categories. The first the words students know The second they have read or heard but not sure about translation The third unknown words then teacher asks students in groups to discuss the words they do not know and explain each other the words they already know. at the and teacher asks students to tell the words they do not know and could not explain each other.
Teacher shows on the WB students picture in which different personal possessions are shown. And asks students to match the words in their list with pictures on the WB in 2 min. After that asks students to compare their answers in 2 minutes. at the end teacher writes the answer on the board. Teacher asks student what do they have in their bag. WCF
teacher highlites the words open, closed and their different meanings. Besides teacher highlites the pronunciation of tourist and closed.
Teacher clerify corrrect pronunciation of words espessially the words: purse, money, guide book by repeating and drilling.
Teacher asks CCQ and tells students to do task 3 a on page 50. Students have to listen recording and match the conversation 1-3 to a) - c) answers are checked at the end together with the whole group. Teacher shows the students picture on page 50. Then tells them to tell the things they see in the picture. ex 2b
Teacher asks students to do ex 3b . in this ex students are given sheet of paper with gapfill senrences. First teacher gives some time to read the sentences then play the record R.6.9 and asks students to complete the sentences. At the end teacher asks students to check the answers in pairs and then with the whole class.
Teacher gives students sheet of paper with pictures and tels them to answer the queston about "What do they have?" in pairs. Ex 1C class activity 6C p106
