Procedure

Clarification #1 (8-9 minutes) • To be able to categorize the sentences with their references( permission- obligation- prohibition)

SS in PW match the sentences hanged on the wall with their definition reference( permission - obligation / No obligation - prohibition ) They should find out if it is in the present or the past.

Practice (10-11 minutes) • To provide information about modals used to refer to permission - obligation- prohibition

SS in PW do Ex. 1 SB p.81 , they exchange the bold words in each sentence with an appropriate verb from the box. SS should find out wether the sentence refers to ( permission - obligation- prohibition )

clarification #2 (7-8 minutes) • To provide SS with a chart to summarize modals used for permission- obligation - prohibition

Ss in pairs study a chart about modals in present and past refer to ( permission - obligation- prohibition)
