In this lesson Ss are supposed to revise 6 letters (A,B,C,D,E, andF), the capital and small case, the sounds of each one, and the beforehand learned words.

Main Aims

  • To provide product writing practice of a the letters A, B, C, D, E, and F (upper and lower case) in the context of game
  • To provide accuracy speaking practice in a telling short stories in the context of the letters a, b, c, d, e,and f sounds
  • To provide clarification, review and practice of words starting by the Sound \a\,\b\, \k\, \d\ \,e\, \f\, and\g\ in the context of Story

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide specific information listening practice using a text about songs in the context of letter sounds


Warmer/Lead-in (0-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T plays a song for Ss, they listen, sing, and move with it.

Exposure (20-40 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

PART A 1# T hand outs short stories for Ss telling them to listen while they look at the pictures. 2# T tells Ss to work in pairs and read together _ The target here is to refresh their memory concerning the words (A, B, and C) _T monitors, gives help. PART B 1# T hand outs another story and repeat the previous process, but this time with Unit 2 TL (D< E< and F)

Useful Language (30-55 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks+ to revise the beforehand learned TL with focusing on the deficiencies

T Show Ss the Flash Cards. T Elicits the words T drills the words that they forget Funny tips while drilling: * The first is the ordinary drilling with the usual pattern. * Then, T changes the order * T hides some cards, Ss tell what the missing ones are((Individually)) Ss write The TL (capital and small letters) Color & Write Ss play a game T divides the class into groups Each group has a letter or two Ss look for the words of the letter they have. The winners will have smily stars. T repeats the game while Ss change the letters. T clarifies some movements that will be needed in the Production

Productive Task(s) (40-50 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

T divides the class into 2 groups Every group has a story every S has a role in the story ( The movements that have been taught) Ss prepare Finally they perform
