In this lesson, The learners practice using some modal verbs to make their own decisions about leaving alone for more then six months.

Main Aims

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Show the students a picture of the beach on the W/B and Divide them into groups of 3 students and then ask them "when was the last time you went to the beach?". After that, The students will come up with several words and sentences which lead in to the main idea of the topic. After 2 minutes ask them to share their ideas with the whole class.

Exposure (2-4 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

Ask the students "if you wanna go to the beach what will take with you?" The students will say some examples you should take an umbrella etc. Then,model one example about the target language that they should say for example; We SHOULD take ......BECAUSE........ We shouldn't take ........because...... We must bring.........because............. We have to take.........because.......... We don't have to take..........because...........

Useful Language (7-10 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

During this stage, While the students practice the target language with in their groups, move around them and make notes about the target language. After 4 minutes, share their FB with the whole class.Then do the delay error corrections and do drilling by using back chain.

prepration for the task (6-8 minutes) • To provide a model of the production expected in the coming tasks.

at this stage, the students watch a video about somebody ,whom is marooned on an island after his plane crashes into the ocean. Far away from home, his girlfriend, and any human contact, he engages in a battle of wits with himself as he is tested mentally, physically, and emotionally in order to survive. Ask them what " what kind of problem did the man face it while his living in the island.", the students watch the trail and write their notes and then they have a discussion with their groups. Next, Ask them to share their FB with whole class.

Productice Task To provide an opportunity to practice the productive skills. (12-17 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

During this stage, tell the students that they will go to the island alone and they will stay for more than 6 months; therefore, they should pick up five things that are very important to survive during this period of time.( give them 5 minutes to discuss in their groups, and then Divide the whole class into two groups and tell them to rethink and discuss to pick up just 5 things. After that, have them make a debate between two groups to choose JUST 5 items to take them to the island.) Make the activity as free practice and make your notes for the delay error corrections.

Feedback and Error Correction (3-5 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

In the last stage, write on the WB the mistakes that the students made during the free practice.
