Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (1-2 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Write the question on the w/b: "Does love end?" Place 2 pictures (1.people are arguing; 2. eldery couple is walking together) Ss discuss their answers to the question together.

Pre-Reading/Listening (10-12 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

Ss will revise/learn blocking vocabulary from the text. - get married - get divorced - move in together - have children - keep in touch - lose touch

While-Reading/Listening #1 (10-12 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

a) Ss will answer the questions of ex 1; b) Ss discuss them in pairs; c) Ss will get the answers on the w/b.

While-Reading/Listening #2 (10-13 minutes) • To provide students with more detailed listening tasks

a) Ss will fill in the gaps in ex 2. b) Ss discuss their answers in pairs. c) Ss would get an answer sheet. d) Ss check the answers in pairs. e) WCFB

Vocabulary practice (IF TIME) (3-5 minutes) • Practice and check the maning of key vocabulary before speaking activity

Ss will put the stages of personal life in best possible order. 1) Stages are placed on the w/b in random order and Ss think about them and after discuss their ideas in pairs. 2) 2 Ss place the stages on the w/b. WCFB

Post-Reading/Listening (10-15 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to practice speaking within the context

a) Ss receive 2 questions to discuss in groups. b) Ss are divided in 'for' and 'against' groups for the 1st question. They need to find as many facts to support their point of view as possible. They present the ideas to the other group. c) Ss change groups for the 2nd question and follow the same procedure.
