Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Greeting the students at the beginning. The main aim in the warming up is to elicit the vocabulary. I will be showing them pictures of places and getting them to elicit the pictures.

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

Chest H.O and ask Ss "where are the people in the pictures?" put the Ss in pairs and get them to discuss where are the people in the pictures. While the Ss are discussing I write a often, sometimes, never and always scale on the W/B. Grab Ss attention and start eliciting from the Ss the answers. Then use examples on the board about my self with always, never, sometimes and often. Then ask the question on the board to some Ss. Pair work for Ss to ask each other the same question and reply with answer. G/W Teacher then asks Student A what student B's answer was.

Highlighting (7-10 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

Ex C Teacher instructs Ss to choose one picture (30 sec). while thats happening quickly write these 2 sentences on the board "when did you go there?" "what did you see there?" Choose a stronger student and ask which picture they chose. Then ask when did you go there? Then ask what did you see there? pair work for Ss to ask each other about their chosen picture. Then share with class their answers.

Clarification (3-6 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

while Ss are replying with their answers, write some of their replies on the W/B. Then the teacher will drill the sentences form pronunciation to clarify meaning of the target language.

Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

Teacher instructs Ss "read and answer questions" by chesting instructions. while that is happening teacher writes 1- 8 on the board so the teacher can instruct the Ss one by one to write their answer on the board. While Ss are answering the questions teacher is to also monitor the Ss doing the questions and provide help when needed. If Ss are confused write the answer for number 1 on the board.

Semi-Controlled Practice (5-10 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

Teacher instructs Ss to listen "where are they going?" (pens down) and then ICQ. "What are we doing?". Play the listening once. Next instruction is "Complete these sentences below" while chesting. Then check if Ss have difficulties with answering sentences then listen again to check. chest new H.O and instruct Ss to practice in pairs the examples then have them cover the left side and try to practice the exercise or the right side.
