Main Aims

To provide deduction listening practice using a text about hotel rooms

Subsidiary Aims

To provide accuracy speaking practice in a debate in the context of travel

Procedure (31-39 minutes)

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

First, T will introduce herself to the ss then they will be asked to introduce themselves. T will do it with a shape on the board.

Pre-Listening (10-12 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

T will explain them briefly about what they should do when they are listening to the part of the listening.

While-Listening #1 (10-12 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information listening tasks

While listening ss will be asked to write down the words and the phrases that are new for them. They will be asked to listen carefully and answer the questions.

Post-Listening (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

After the listening part is done, the ss will be asked to answer the questions then the T will ask them to discuss about the answers. When the discussing about the answers is done they will be asked to talk about the topic in the groups.
