Description

In this lesson, students will learn about some vocabularies and tense grammar. Then it will be followed by some reading with gaps to fill with correct tense.

Main Aims

  • To provide clarification of Music collocations in the context of Music

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide process writing practice of a Report in the context of Favourite music

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

First I will introduce the lesson's subject and then will try to give them some handouts about the tenses. And I will involve them in group discussions using the new grammar.

Test #1 (8-10 minutes) • To gauge students' prior knowledge of the target language

After teaching the new grammar, I will make them use the grammar that they have learnt last session.

Teach (15-20 minutes) • To clarify areas of the target language where students had difficulty in the first test stage

I will explain them completely about the new grammar, and will try to solve their problems and questions according to the handouts.

Test #2 (8-10 minutes) • Check students' use of the target language again and compare with the first test

I will try to give them some tests related to the new lesson and will ask them to mix their new knowledge with their previous lesson.

Free practice (13-15 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

They will be given free topics to talk and will be asked to use their knowledge while discussing the topic.
