Description

In this lesson, students learn to speak together about advantages and disadvantages of telephone based on a reading text about people's ideas about telephone. Finally there is a practice to speak about telephone by their own ideas.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead in (7-10 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T writes on board some words and numbers about himself/herself for introducing. T wants ss to write their names on a paper and put it on their desk. T writes on board : advantages and disadvantages of technology. T asks who spend a lot of time to use telephone as a technology.

Preparing to speak (5-7 minutes) • To provide students with discussion about new subject to improve speaking ability

T provides ideas for ss about technology to speak about.

Task (3-5 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

T asks ss to read HO T asks ss to fill out blanket in pairs. T asks groups to check answers

Planning (5-7 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to plan students' report

T asks ss to sit in groups T asks ss to share their ideas in group

Free practice (5-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language
