  • To present and practice basic vocabulary for buildings, streets, and directions.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (4-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I will draw a 6 pointed star on the WB and I will write my name in the center. In the points, I will write ( Edrine, 3, sports, kayseri, Turkish food) , and I will get them to ask me as many questions as I can

Listening (3-4 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

I will have them listen twice. Then, I will elicit what they have just heard. After that, I will give them the passage to read it.

Learning new vocabularies about places (10-12 minutes) • Identify things by using pictures

I will show them pictures on the projector ,and I will try to elicit the words from them. I will point out irrugular plurals: person/ people . church / chuches .

Personalise (14-16 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

I will write vocabularies on the WB ,and I have them make a full sentnce for each word by using there is / there are. To make sure they can use there is / there are accuratly. I prepared another ex. on the projector by adding just there is / there are .................. lots of care
