Main Aims

  • To provide students to review the previously learned words and structures in exchanging their personal information.

Subsidiary Aims

  • The students review putting the words in the right order and learn the dates, days of the week and numbers. They will also listen to some people exchanging their personal information.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (10-12 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Books closed. The teacher will introduce himself.Then the T will divide them in groups A and B.They make a circle, A inside B. The T will play a party music(CD 2 track 4) asking A to move clockwise and B counterclockwise. When the music stops they will introduce themselves to the people standing in front of them. They should say: A-Hello. My name's .................. A-I'm ................... years old A-I'm a .............................. B-Nice to meet you Then the Ss will feel free to move around the class introducing themselves to as many other students they wish to. The T can join them to remember their names.

Exposure (5-8 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

T will show the Ss the pictures on page 4 asking them Pic.no.:1: Is this a picture of a family? no.2: This pic. is about somebody's ....... no.3: what is this picture illustrating? no. 4:who do you think they are? no. 5:what is this picture showing T gets their ideas and encourages the best answers.

Type of questions in each category (8-10 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

T teaches them how to ask questions as well as answers for each category. Then he puts them to practice.

Productive Task(s) (18-20 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

The Ss in PW activity will start answering the ex. C on P.4 then check their answers They will also read the sentences together.

Feedback and Error Correction (8-10 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

The T will play the audio on P. 4 they will listen and check or correct their errors. T will ask them about the number of the correct or wrong answers.
