In this lesson Ss will learn some vocabularies about food and later they will read texts about three people from different countries and then after that they will talk about themselves by a find someone who activity.


Main Aims

Subsidiary Aims

  • Speaking about Ss' eating habit


Lead in (3-5 minutes) • To get them know the new topic

T shows some pictures from power point to students. (If it doesn't work T shows the printed pictures) . Asks Ss to talk about the meals they can see in the picture and their favorite meal in groups. T gives them FB.

Pre-Teach Vocabulary (5-8 minutes) • To teach the new vocabulary which they need to understand the text better

T gives Ss some colorful paper and groups them in three.T gets them to match the words and pictures on their table. Then Ss check the answers in AK and then teacher drills some words and CCQs some words.

Pre-reading (2-4 minutes) • To introduce the reading

T asks a question about Turkish typical meals and get them to talk in pairs. T gives FB.

While reading (8-10 minutes) • to answer specific question about the reading

T groups them in A,B,C and gives each group different reading. They read the reading and answer the questions together. T monitors and gives them FB.

While reading 2 (5-8 minutes) • to answer specific question about the reading

T regroups Ss and in each group there is a student from A,B,and C and then wants them to answer some questions about the texts. They must compare their texts. T gives FB.

Speaking (7-10 minutes) • to get them talk about themselves

T gives them find someone who activity. Ss should interview others by asking yes/no questions and write their names on the paper. And then T gives FB by asking them what the have got in their papers.
