Writing lesson(Describing your home town
To provide model writing practice of an essay in the context of describing your home town
Procedure (48-64 minutes)
T greets the students , checks their names with the attendance list (in English)
To elicit the word "hometown" , put it on the WB, then use brainstorming to elicit the names of places we visit in English. If students dont know several places, use pictures. FB-What is Moscow? What places do you go to?
Ex.1 p.1. Students match column 1 with column 2 first(2 minutes) and then check their answers with their patners (50 seconds). Finally,the teacher and the students check the answers all together.
Students read the text and match the papagraphs with the titles
Students read the read once again and underline 6 six interesting places in Boston. FB-Would you like to visit Boston?
Students ask each other about their hometowns and write the answers.
Students write about their partners hometowns FB - Choose the most interesting story.
