ın thıs lesson learners speak and practice email and website addresses in preparation for listening for gist and detail.The lesson starts with an introduction from the teacher by eliciting a response on what is an email and website address followed by listening to an audio then an exercise. in pairs students dictate to each other addresses they have heard and are expected to write right addresses and pronounce symbols of addresses. Students are then introduced to to listening for gist and listening for detail. an audio is played, the ss match the pictures on wb with tne audio and fill a cut out to complete the information

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (4-5 minutes) • to prepare students for the listening activity

T introduces herself then reminds ss of the previous listening activities Elicit what a website and email is play audio in pairs students dictate to each other addresses they have put down ss change partner and compare addresses Randomly students can read out to the class what the have T project on wb the answers

Pre-Listening (5-7 minutes) • To prepare students for the context of the listening activity

T projects on the wb various symbols used in the addresses from above ss pronounce them randomly or as a class ss practice saying some email and website addresses

listening for gist (4-5 minutes) • give the ss the chance to think about the answers before listening

put hotel pictures on WB explain what it means room and night in the hotel environment T plays the audio SS match the audio to the right pictures

detailed listening (6-10 minutes) • listening to the audio to and checking if the answers are right

ss fill the information on the cut outs in pairs SS discuss Tproject answer on wb

Post-Listening (3-5 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

ss write the answers on the wb wc checks the answers
