To give Ss some more speaking practice in context of jobs. To focus on the stress shift in some words.
Procedure (25-47 minutes)
-Explain to students the meaning of each suffix - Explain the students the pronunciation of the words before and after the addition of the suffix. - Explain to the students that the suffix always comes at the end of the word and how to know which suffix to use.
-Students will learn the pronunciations of new words. - Students will learn how to write the new words on the second worksheet. The exercise will have students find out how to add suffixes to words.
The students will be able to lisen to audio based on the words that they have solved in the second worksheet to check if it is correct.
