Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (50 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

- To break the ice , I will ask Ss to stand up, forming a circle then I will mime to elicit the word "football", then I will demonstrate the activity by saying my name and where I live and my favourite hobby and then I will throw the ball to a student to do the same till all the Ss introduce themselves. - Ss sit down and T will pre- teach the words (electronic, a manual), (ECDW). - Pay Ss' attention to the pictures in the listening activity and get them to talk about them.

Exposure (50 minutes) • To provide a model of the task and highlight useful words and phrases

- Give clear instructions before the listening task. (ICQs) will help. - Play the recording and make sure that all Ss are on task. - Ask them to check in pairs and then show the answers on the board. - Elicit the target language, show the slide after CDW. - Stress on the pronunciation and form. - EX.2 T gives clear instructions before the second listening task and follows the same process of the first listening task. - Ss work in pairs to answer the matching task and then check in pairs, then show the answers.

Task (15 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

- Demonstrate with a student EX.4 Ss work in pairs to answer the matching task and then check in pairs, then show the answers.

Planning (35 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to plan students' reports

- Give Ss enough time to work in pairs (Change the Ss who worked together) to think of a real dialogue that could run between a new employee and an old one. - They can write the exchanges since they will act it in front of the class. - T monitors and helps Ss who struggle with vocabulary or structures.

Report (35 minutes) • To allow students to report on how they did the task and how it went

- Ask each pair to come to the board and report their dialogue.

Language Analysis (6-8 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the task language

- Stressing on the useful language again as a recapping activity.

Language Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with practice of the task language

- Use the first page of unit one as a way of practice. - Students works in pairs to do the exercises in WB, check in pairs and then T shows the answers.
