How to be a millionaire.
To provide practice of past time expressions, in the context of biography "how to be a millionaire".
To provide scan reading practice using a text about how to be a millionaire in the context of biography.
Procedure (32-45 minutes)
I'll start may lesson with a warming discussion about how to be a millionaire. Try to engage the students in a speaking practise.
I'll give the students a gap-fill hand out. I'll tell the students that they will be a pair, I'll A and all of them will be B. Then I'll ask the to ask me the question in their hand out and then I'll answer. then I'll tell it's my turn to ask the question and they need to answer. after repeating this proses for 3 or 4 questions, then I'll divide into pairs. and ask them to start the exercise.
I'll draw time lines and I'll try to elicit the grammar from the students.
I'll hand the students a hand out and ask them to work in pairs. After they are done I'll ask them to check the answers in the white board.
I'll give the students a hand out with the whole story, then I'll ask them to re-read it, then work in pairs and fill the gaps(hand out).
