Stage 1 (Eliciting TL through listening for specific information and clarification of it) (6-8 minutes) • To elicit TL and clarify it.

-Inform ss that they're going to listen to an audio clip and try to guess which photo each phone conversation refers to. -Pause after each conversation and ask for FB. -Give the ss HO and tell them to listen to the audio again and do exer. 1. - After eliciting present progressive tense take one sentence from the text and write the form on the WB. - Ask CCQs to clarify the meaning. When are we cooking? Is it yesterday, tomorrow or now? - Ask them to do exer. 2 and nominate ss for FB.

Stage 2 (Practising TL and listening) (15-17 minutes) • To practise TL and listening for details.

- Show the ss HO with exer. 3. Explain that they're going to work in pairs to form sentences in present progressive. - Project the exer. on the WB. Do the first one as an example with them. - Nominate ss to write the sentences on the board. - Show the ss next HO. Project it on the WB. They will discuss with their partners and make assumptions about the person on the photo. - Play the audio and ask them to answer the question while they're listening. - Have them check with their partners. Nominate ss to FB. - Inform the ss that they're going to listen again to do the next exer. - Have them check with their partners and nominate ss to FB.

Stage 3 (13-15 minutes) • To practise TL in question form and improving productive skills

-Write a positive sentence from the audio text. Try to elicit the question form from the students. I'm having a cup of coffee. Am I having a cup of coffee? - Write the question form structure on the WB. - Project matching exercise on the WB and give HOs. Have them do it individually first then check with partners. - Ask ss to come to the board and write the answers. - Show to ss the next HO. Choose a picture and write a conversation on the board. A: Where are you? B: I'm at the airport. A: What are you doing? B: I'm drinking a coffee. - Ask ss to find the picture (3). Instruct them to write a conversation with a picture in mind. They'll take turns to be A. -They will read their dialogues and their partners will try to identify the picture. - Nominate a pair to read their dialogue out loud.
