Main Aims

  • Fpr students to be able what passion is and to be able to tell others what their passion is.

Subsidiary Aims

  • To be able to give the students a fun and engaging lesson and be able to get them to talk about their passion.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (7-10 minutes) • to get students thinking about passion

On the board write... Passion? Then ask the students in pairs to talk about and write down what they think passion is.. give them 4 minutes. When they have done this get them to come back together as a group and share the ideas they came up with, with their partner. Ask them to also come up to the board and write some things on there.

Exposure (10-13 minutes) • to get the student to think about their own passion

Give them a sheet of paper with that says 'your passion' in the middle. Tell them that they have 10 minutes to think about their passion and why it is. Tell then they can be creative as they like, they can draw pictures use coloured pens/pencils to make it be more individual to them. After they have done this we will come back together as a group.

Mini presentations (20-25 minutes) • To get them to share and speak about their passion

Come back together as a group, and get them to go around the circle and talk about their passions to each other and tell others why.

Productive Task(s) (18-20 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills
