Description

Students will learn useful information such as: presenting yourself to a group, and an ideal job description. Activity #1 starts with a listening activity in which 4 people introduce themselves to a "Quit smoking group." Activity #2 has three more people joining the group "late". Fill in the blanks with words learned from the first activity. Activity #3 puts all the previous activities together. In this activity the students write a presentation about themselves concerning their ideal job.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I will start the lesson by introducing the topic of language in a "quit smoking group." SAY: If I were in this group I would introduce myself and mention my job and long term goals.
