The ss will be exposed to a short listening recorded by the teacher. Before starting, they will be asked to listen to the tape and try to find out what the main subject of the track was. No ICQs needed here as it's a pretty straight forward task. The track will then be played once only. Afterwards, the ss will be paired up based on their sitting and given one minute to talk about their understanding with a partner. one nominated Ss will answer and the teacher will check the understanding of others in WC.

They will perform the task alone. A demo will be done by the teacher with the big cut outs for the ss to better understand the task. two ICQS will be asked in this stage. 1- are we doing the task alone or in our groups? 2- how will we arrange the sentences? After the sentences are played, the ss will have the opportunity to check in their groups to check if they have the correct answers. in this stage, the teacher will monitor closely and decide whether or not it is needed to play the tape one more time. At the end, nominated Ss will come to the board to put the big cutouts in the order they should be in. An AK will be given to the Ss, which they will also use in the following speaking part.

post listening task part 1 (5-7 minutes) • to enhance speaking skills of ss and prepare them for listening part 2
