in this lesson, students learn about the presents continuous for future arrangements. the lesson starts by a discussion about the arrangements we do before traveling for example. Then followed by a listening track where students exposed to the target language. finally, there are some controlled practice and free practice via a role play speaking activity.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

open a discussion with ss about the arrangements we do before traveling.

Exposure (3-5 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

students listen to a track between two neighbours speaking about the places you should visit. and answer genral question. check in pairs feedback

Highlighting (2-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

students listen again and answer some detailed question to highlight the meaning. check in pairs. feedback.

Clarification (10-15 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

the teacher clarify the meaning - controlled practice where students have to answer a matching task. - check in pairs - feedback clarifying the pronunciation - students listen and repeat - feedback clarify the form - T ask student to reform a sentence. students work alone then check in pairs. - feedback controlled practice where students have to complete the sentences using the present continous - check in pairs -feedback.

Semi-Controlled Practice (3-5 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

handle the students a task where they have to read some information and useing it to write sentences using the present continuous. students work alone then check in pairs feed back

Free Practice (4-8 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

set a game where the students have to write some excuses. then, in role-play they have to say as many excuses as they can or they will lose the challenge.
