Main Aims

Lead-in/ Building context (2-3 minutes) • to activate students' existing knowledge of the topic and to generate interest in the topic of the lesson

show them a picture on the projector of a kid whose head is in a plate full of chocolate. Then I'll ask them " do you think this kid likes Chocolate ? how did you know ? do you like Chocolate ? what do we call a person who's crazy Chocolate ?

Pre-teach vocabulary (2-3 minutes) • to help students understand the task and complete

addict and chocoholic I'll use the picture of the kid I used in the lead-in stage to elicit these two words from them. by asking some questions ? does this kid like chocolate ? what do we call a person who's crazy about chocolate ? if they don't know, tell them we call who's crazy about alcohol alcoholic so who's crazy about chocolate is chocoholic. Addict is easy to elicit from chocoholic or alcoholic.

use exercise no 2 from the book and let the students answer it.

Ss will listen to audio 2.01 to correct the sentences they guessed about before the lesson.

post-listening task (5-7 minutes) • to allow an opportunity to react to the topic and to develop oral, written fluency and an opportunity yo personalize the topic.

Fill-in-gaps activity. i will ask the Ss some ICQ to make sure they understand the activity like : do you work alone or with partner ? do you write or speak ? then handout the materials, they should answer individually then they check answers in pairs then I'll provide key answers. it's a controlled-practice.

free practice activity (8-10 minutes) • to practice oral and written language

I will handout some questions to the students and ask them to speak about them in pairs. I'll make sure they understand the instructions by asking some ICQs : do you work alone or in pairs ? do we speak or write ? how much time do you have ?
