Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (7-9 minutes) • To set the context and make a quick review

T makes students close their books for vocab review.T will use visuals, pictures, and modelling to elicit the adjectives Ss have already done. T will ask Ss to give the opposite, but first write on WB next to the word =/= to make them understand and elicit.

pre-speaking (6-8 minutes) • To elicit TL and prepare for speaking

T uses WB to demonstrate the first sentence and asks Ss if can answer with are, aren't , he will fill the gab if they couldn't. T will provide them with the Gab-fill handout, if they don't have it and make them do the exercise. While Ss are engaged in the exercise, T will monitor quickly for checking if they are on task. They will listen to the CD for FB, play the CD again and do DRILLING.

Gist speaking (13-15 minutes) • To provide with a controlled practice and use TL

T puts Ss into pairs, A and B. T demonstrates first example from A and B on WB to choose is/are .Then provides each student an appropriate worksheet A or B. Ss are working alone first, checking their answers from the emails they have read, no WC FB. Nominate first example and then tell them to ask the Qs to each other and answer without looking at the emails.
