Main Aims

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (2-3 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T starts with small discussion about prices for preparing them to play a game T gives them small pieces of paper and asks them to write food they like and they don't like Then T collects the paper then T asks them to withdraw some paper randomly to make complete sentence Then T gives them feed back by checking the sentence of each one in a funny atmosphere Aim : T exposes them to the target language by using a game to fresh their mind also to attracts their attention

Exposure (2-3 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

T gives them a questionnaire about " Food habits " and asks them to answer it according to their own Then T asks them about their answer Aim : T Exposes them to the target language

Clarification (5-7 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form pronunciation of the target language

T asks SS to under line " Some and any " in the questionnaire T write some sentences on the white board T Uses CCQs to clarify the rule Aim : For checking the meaning Then T asks them about the form " the rule of " Some and any " Aim : for checking the form Then T asks them to listen and drill some sentences then T asks them for the stressed word Aim : For checking the pronunciation

Controlled Practice (3-4 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

T asks SS to answer Ex:1 to complete the sentences with " some and any " first individually Then T asks them to check in pairs Then T gives them feed back

Semi-Controlled Practice (5-6 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

In Ex: 2 and Ex :3 T divides Ss into two groups as competition Then T gives them Katie's shopping list Then T asks them to answer the questions and the first group who can finished . They can stand as a teacher and check the answer with the other group Then T can Collect Errors and gives them feed back Aim : to let Ss use the target language in a competitive sense

Free Practice (3-5 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

T asks each group to write 5 sentences about " After a long and hard day what kind of food they would like to eat ? and what they don't like ? ( Using some and any ) Then T gives them feedback and announce which group is the winner Aim : To personalize the target language

If / time activity (2-3 minutes)

T asks SS to work individually Then T asks them to make search inside the room for ( Sugar - water - paper- money - pens -..............ect ) The winner who collect more things and also say complete sentences about his things . Then T announce the winner Aim : To use the target language in different situation also to increase the level of chalenging
