Procedure

Warmer (5-6 minutes) • To review verb patterns

Ask students to scan the article to find the verb forms that come after the underlined verb. Are you reading? Are you looking for verb forms?

Exposure 1 (8-10 minutes) • To further practice the different verb patterns

Read the article and find the verb forms that follow these verbs in the box. Demo first one. PW

Exposure 2 (8-10 minutes) • To provide semi-controlled practice of verb forms

Fill in the blank with the correct form of the verb. PW to fill out. Hand out answer key

Exposure 3 (2-3 minutes) • To set the scene for the upcoming listening exercise

Write questions on the board and have them discuss them in pairs.
