Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (10 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I have a friend who wants to take out a loan to buy a car. What should she do? What do you suggest? On WB, write up beginning of sentences ... eg. How about, What about, I think, It's a good idea, It's advisable, Have you considered, I suggest, I would recommend,

Exposure (10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

Highlighting (10 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

Pg 31: first two points ...advice - uncountable noun vs advise - verb & verb following "xxx" differs ..

Controlled & Semi-controlled Practice (20 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

Free Practice (10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language
