Procedure (38-45 minutes)
T will show Identity Theft Visual 1 and ask Ss to name a few examples of identity theft.
T will give the students photocopies of Identity Theft Q&A reading. Ask them to look at the text quickly and decide where they might see a text like this. (a website, a newspaper, a book) They can check in pairs. T will ask them how they knew.
T will give students cut out words and ask them to put them in the correct places. They work in pairs. T gives WC feedback.
T will give students cut outs of scrambled sentences, Ss will put the words in correct order to make questions. Ss will work in groups of 4-5. T hands out the answer sheet and they check their answers.
(If time permits) T give sentences to Ss, and asks them to write the questions in groups of 4-5. T gives answer sheet and Ss check themselves.
T tells the Ss to write 4 or 5 details about themselves but not their names and put their paper in the shoe box. They then pick one back from the box. Ss mingle in the class and try to find who has stolen their identity. T listen to Ss speaking, and do error correction on the board after the task.
