Procedure

Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • Introduce myself and set lesson context and engage students

Introduce myself and where I am from to see if they can remember as it would be an introduction to the lesson.

Controlled practice (10-12 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

Play a listening task without giving them handouts until I replay it again for a second time to give them a chance to memorize the answers. Let them check in pairs and do a Whole Class Feedback.

While-Reading/Listening #1 (10-12 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

Play listening task n2.5 to elicit the TL. Ask them to listen and repeat the questions(TL) altogether and then individually. Highlight the verb forms as well as the possessive determiners in different colors.

While-Reading/Listening #2 (10-16 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

Hand them some more detailed handouts. Practice the conversations altogether.

Post-Reading/Listening (5-10 minutes) • To do an activity and expand on what they've learned

Students will be doing an activity about the cities of some countries
